The family wanted to extend a small builder patio out past their new patio cover. We doweled into the existing slab, thickened the edges where the cover posts land, and poured a smooth finish under the roof with a broom-finish apron beyond it.
The base was over-excavated and compacted because the yard had been flood-irrigated for years and the top soil was soft.
A sleeve for a future gas line to an outdoor kitchen was placed under the slab before the pour.
